James Cameron's Avatar: The Game (Xbox 360)

The most technically advanced motion picture ever made has also inspired a video game that’s set to make its own waves, as the world of Pandora becomes interactive. Just like the film you must choose whether to side with the human military or the native Na’vi, as both fight for control of the planet. The ultimate battle between nature and technology Human weapons and vehicles have awesome firepower For every human vehicle there’s a monster to match it New vehicles have been designed by the movie makers Just like the film the game can be played in stereoscopic 3D, but whether you don the goggles or not the intense third person action stands on its own. The game’s huge levels leave plenty of space for the two sides to face off, with the technologically advanced humans surprisingly even matched against the super strong Na’vi. You need brawn as well as brain to win though, with unlockable abilities that can change the course of battle an (more…)

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 (Xbox 360)

Enhanced Realism: PES 2010 delivers a pace of game in tune with football played at the highest level. Triangulation of passes and use of off-the-ball runs are key to breaking down the opposition, forcing the player to use the strengths of their team mates to create scoring opportunities. Gone are ’soft’ goals that can be used to break the deadlock – instead, only working the channels and the precision play expected of great players will make a difference. Player Characteristics: Key skills of the many players have now been attributed named, allowing users to incorporate them into their play strategy. Cover star Torres, for instance, is renowned for his ability to receive a pass in the penalty area, and to drop the ball to a teammate in a good position for a goal-scoring opportunity. Instant Tactical Switching: Each team has unique settings matching their real-life playing styles. Torres at Liverpool, for instance, will recreate the Merseyside (more…)

PostHeaderIcon Xbox 360 Console – What Version of the Xbox360 Console is Right For You

In Dec, 2007 Microsoft has three basic versions of the Xbox 360 console: the Xbox 360 Arcade, the standard Xbox 360 and the Xbox 360 Elite system. The base system is the same for each with added benefits to enhance gameplay and media enjoyment for each different console bundle.
The Arcade version has limited storage for arcade games. It would not be gamers first choice for a video game console. The standard Xbox 360 has a 20 Gb hard drive, which is sufficient storage for games and a few songs and a video or two. The Elite has 120 Gb of storage and comes included with a HDMI digital audio-video cable. This is for those users who expect downloading and storing many video, photos, game data or music. The HDMI cable is convenient for those that need that type of connection for their home theater system. The Elite is the only system that is all black as well.
All the systems have Silver Xbox live memberships and a wireless controller included. Game compatibility is the same for the regular and Elite consoles. They are compatible with all Xbox 360 games plus over 300 original Xbox games. The Arcade version is compatible with all Xbox 360 games.
Obviously the prices for the consoles are different. The arcade machine can be had for around $280. The standard sells for around $350. The Elite goes for $450.
The Xbox console is not that large when compared with the Nintendo Wii and Playstation 3. It is sleekly designed and has interchangeable faceplates that allow it to be fitted into a home cinema rack. The wireless controller is really cool and wonderfully convenient. The Xbox console supports four wireless controller devices.
The Xbox 360 has amazing graphics. All the games are optimized for high definition output. In addition, it has USB 2.0 ports for attaching accessories. Accessories include a steering wheel for driving games and a chat messenger that allows you to send instant messages to your friends while you are playing. These accessories are not included with the console bundle and must be purchased separately. The Xbox 360 console is HD ready for games and has Dolby Digital sound to give players a complete surround sound gaming experience.
The console will play on any television, high definition or not. You just need to have the video and audio inputs for the TV or home theater system. The Xbox 360 console plays audio CDs, as well as DVDs, stores photograph and will play mp3’s. The Xbox 360 truly represents a big leap forward in next generation gaming technology.

PostHeaderIcon Resident Evil 5 (X360) Game Cheats

See Other Cheats and Games Information Review Preview in Gamesoption.com

It’s finally here. Resident Evil 5 is the long-awaited continuation of Capcom’s storied survival horror series, and the game has a lot to offer. Arguments abound as to whether RE5 is a true Resident Evil game; whether it’s survival horror at all, in fact. But there’s something Resident Evil 5 has that none of its predecessors did — a lengthy adventure that warrants playing again, and again, and again. Single-player or multiplayer, there’s a lot to see in RE5. And surely, there’s a lot to do, as well.

Chris Redfield has been conspicuously absent as a playable character in canon Resident Evil releases recently. Resident Evil 4 brought back the hero of the second iteration in the series, Leon, but now Chris is back, on the hunt for his long-lost partner, Jill Valentine. His travels bring him to Africa, where he suspects not only Jill can be found, but where answers surrounding the mysteries of the Resident Evil series can be uncovered as well. Resident Evil 5 also introduces a new partner for Chris, one that will play an integral role in the game.

But Resident Evil 5 isn’t without its challenges. Those expecting a quintessential exercise in survival horror can continue to look elsewhere, because RE5 turns the series’ conventions upside down. Instead of carefully maneuvering, hoarding ammunition and avoiding fights, Resident Evil 5 stressed third-person combat above all else, and it will take some getting used to, whether you’re a veteran of the series or not.

Of course, that’s where IGN Guides comes into play. Our complete guide to Resident Evil 5 will have you covered. Our basics section is a detailed rundown of RE5’s fundamentals, with our patented ten tips resource. Our walkthrough will quite literally walk-you-through all sixteen of the game’s challenging chapters. The inventory section of our guide will give you vital details on all of the weapons, gear and items you encounter during your adventure. In the treasures section, you can find the lowdown on all of the valuable treasures you will find in the game, treasures that will be your primary source of precious money. And of course, the section of the guide covering emblems will bring you across the locations of all thirty well-hidden BSAA insignias. That leads right into the final section of our guide — unlockables — because RE5 is chock-full of ‘em.

Cheat: Inventory Duplication

This requires two very cooperative human players, and a Live connection.

1 // In the Inventory Lobby, invite a friend.

2 // Start the level (use 1.2 to make it easy). Have the host hand items (Rotten Eggs, First Aid, Ammo) off to the guest for duplication.

3 // With a full inventory, have the guest leave the game (it should say “All unsaved progress will be lost” — select “Yes”).

5 // After selecting “Yes,” another question for the guest will appear asking whether or not to save status and ammo. Choose “Yes” to save and you will have all the passed-on inventory saved.

6 // Now, back to the host: Quit out of the game, but at the second question, choose “No” and do not save ammo and status.

7 // Restart the game with the two characters and you’ll both have the ammo and items. Duplication successful! (Note: You cannot do this with weapons as you cannot hand them off to your partner.)

Addendum: A popular money-making strategy involves duplicating Rotten Eggs. These are worth $2,000 a pop, and 5 can be crammed in each inventory slot. That means you can eventually be duplicating $90,000 each time. Finding Rotten Eggs can be tough; they drop randomly in later levels. Also, for two people to increase the amount of eggs quickly, you’ll have to pass them back and forth, alternating who is saving and who isn’t.

Unlockable: Professional Difficulty

Beat the game on Veteran difficulty to unlock Professional difficulty.

Unlockable: Sheva Alomar’s Story

Clear the game once with Chris “Six Pockets” Redfield to unlock Sheva Alomar’s Story.

Unlockable: Mercenaries Mode

Beat the game once on any difficulty to unlock Mercenaries Mode.

Unlockable: Unlimited Ammo

To unlock unlimited ammunition for a weapon, fully upgrade all of its attributes, complete the game (all chapters) and buy the ability using Exchange Points from Bonus Features (for that weapon only).

Unlockable: Uber Weapons

Fully upgrade the weapons listed below for the desired uber weapon:

Unlockable: The History of Resident Evil

Beat the game on any difficulty to unlock The History of Resident Evil.

Unlockable: Characters and Costumes for Mercenaries Mode

To unlock additional characters and costumes in Mercenaries mode, you’ll have to do well on each level.

Unlockable: Filters

Unlock the following filters by performing the actions below:

Unlockable: Rocket Launcher with Infinite Ammo

To unlock the Rocket Launcher with unlimited ammo, beat the game in under 5 hours (on any difficulty). Note: this must be toggled on under “Bonus Features.”

Unlockable: Costumes

These additional costumes for use in Campaign Mode can be unlocked by performing the following actions:

Hint: BSAA Emblems

Below is a list of how many BSAA Emblems can be found on any given chapter in the game. There are thirty emblems total, and not each chapter has one.

Hint: Unlimited Money and Ammo

Unlike in Resident Evil 4, your ammo and money carry over every time you replay a level. Collect money and ammo in a chapter; then pause, save and quit. Restart the chapter and you can collect everything a second time. This works well in chapters 1-2, 3-1 (the hovercraft level) and 4-1 (caves). As a general rule, this “farming” method works especially well in levels in which you can collect weapons worth money and ample hidden treasures like jewels and beetles. For instance, 3-1 has copious amounts of treasures, and a Rocket Launcher on the sunken boat that you can repeatedly collect.

Hint: Wesker’s Dash Attack

When using the unlockable character Wesker in Mercenaries, you can click the Right Analog Stick (sometimes called R3) to initiate a dash. Press both Triggers while dashing to do a knee attack. Warning: This move will drain your own life meter, so use it sparingly!

Additions by ViciousGray

Hint: Weapon List

Below is a full list of weapons and how to find / unlock them. Most can be found in silver suitcases. The Dragunov is in a locker. Others are bought after fully upgrading a weapon.

Handguns

Shotguns

Machine Guns

Rifles

Magnums

Special Guns

Hint: Discarding Weapons in Mercenaries Mode

In Mercenaries mode, ammunition drops are based on the type of weapons you have. Use this to your advantage by discarding weapons you don’t use. This causes more ammunition to be dropped for other weapons. Example: For Wesker (Stars), drop the Samurai Edge to find more Magnum and Shotgun ammo.

Hint: Inventory Reload in Mercenaries Mode

In Mercenaries mode you can reload your weapon by pulling up your Inventory screen and combining the ammunition manually with the gun (using the “Move” command button). Once you get used to this, you can use it to your advantage since it is a lot faster then reloading your shotgun, for instance, on the fly. More importantly, you can use this trick while climbing a ladder or when you are a jumping down to really save some time — and possibly your neck.

Hint: Majini Distraction

You can click both analog sticks to taunt or goad nearby Majini into coming at you instead of your partner. Have your shotgun ready. “C’mon, c’mon!”

Hint: Alternate Way to Unlock Professional Difficulty

If you get invited to play a level on Professional via Xbox Live with someone who has unlocked Professional Difficulty in their game, it will then be unlocked in yours.

Hint: Unlocking the Infinite Rocket Launcher

To acquire the Infinite Rocket Launcher, you must achieve a total game time of under 5:00:00. You don’t have to play the game all the way through in one run to get a low total time — you can just go chapter by chapter, using the Chapter Select, lowering your time in each. Your final time is a total of your lowest runs through the chapters.
